🔶 1. Why am I seeing Tamper Detected?
🔶 To ensure that you Donation Station Terminal is PCI compliant it has built in anti-tamper security.
🔶 The anti-tamper security can be triggered if the terminal is:
🔸Physically shaken
🔸Dropped
🔸Subject to attempted unauthorized access
🔶 If your terminal reader detects a possible security breach, it will display a tampered detected message
🔶 If you see this message, immediately discontinue using the device for and contact GWD Support. The terminal reader will need replacement to ensure transaction security.
🔶 2. How do I avoid the anti-tamper security being triggered?
🔶 The majority of Tamper Dectected alerts are caused by accidental misuse through shaking or dropping the terminal. To avoid this, ensure that staff using the Donation Station are trained on how use it correctly and are aware of the consequences of rough handling.
🔶 Actual tampering of a terminal is very rare but always ensure the Donation Station is in public view where any suspicious activity can be seen and reported.
