How to use your device with a 4G connection

Note: If you have specified a 4G upgrade is required during purchase,  your Donation Station will come with a SIM card slot.

Usually as part of your package, it will arrive with a roaming 4G SIM card pre-fitted, plus your data tariff will be active.

🔶 Using your Donation Station with 4G

Once switched on, the Donation Station will automatically try and connect to the strongest 4G signal in the local area, allowing it to take donations almost anywhere using cellular data.

🔶 Checking the signal strength

You can check the signal strength to see if your chosen location has sufficient signal for transactions to be taken on your Donation Station.

🔸a. Exit the Donation Station software.

🔸b. Tap the Signal Icon on the bottom menu bar of the screen desktop.

🔸c. The network menu will open, and you will be able to see how bars of signal there are.

🔸d. More bars equal a stronger signal.

ℹ️ The connectivity of your Donation Station using 4G may vary, as it does with any mobile phone, depending on signal strength and speed in the environment.

If you notice the signal dropping out, or a low signal, consider moving the device, or call the support team for more advice.

🔶 Removing or replacing your SIM card

If you need to remove or insert a SIM card, follow these steps:

🔸1. Open your Donation Station by unlocking the lock on the back, slide the bezel up, and remove the bezel and screen.

🔸2. Remove all the cables.

🔸3. Slide the tray out of the bezel and remove the tablet.

🔸4. Remove the SIM card from its packaging and open the cover of the SIM card tray.

🔸5. Insert the SIM with the cut corner positioned in the top right corner and the gold chip facing down.

Tip: if using your own SIM, you will need a micro SIM size.

🔸6. Slide the SIM into the SIM tray and gently push in with a nail until a gentle click is felt.

🔸7. Rebuild Donation Station.
