How can we reconcile our Automatic Gift Aid reclaims?
Learn how to use GWD reports, and HMRC letters to review Gift Aid submissions and settlements.
What reporting is available?
You can view all your past Auto Gift Aid submissions from the GWD portal.
Once logged in, if you select Gift Aid Claims from the top menu navigation you will be presented with previous claims.
If you are an admin or have access to personal identifiable data with your account, you will also be able to download a report that details which transactions were included in the submission.
How do I know when a claim has been processed?
Once HMRC has processed your claim, they will pay the money directly to your bank account and send you a confirmation letter.
HMRC letters will confirm the amount, and this should match the amount detailed on the submission report in our portal.
Why might the settled amount may differ from the GWD estimate?
The GWD portal shows an estimated reclaim amount.
HMRC calculates the final value independently, so the amount they pay may be slightly different.
If HMRC make any adjustments before payment, these will be explained in the confirmation letter they send you.
