🔶 1. What is GASDS?

🔸The Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS) allows eligible charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) to claim a Gift Aid-style top-up on certain small donations without needing a Gift Aid declaration from the donor.

🔸This can be particularly useful for contactless donations where collecting donor details is impractical.

🔸HMRC sets the eligibility rules and claim limits.

N.B. Gift Aid and the GASDS schemes are only available to eligible UK charities.

🔶 2. Can Lite and Lite II collect Gift Aid?

No. Donation Station Lite and Lite II do not currently collect Gift Aid declarations from donors.

🔸This means donations made through Lite and Lite II devices cannot be included in a standard Gift Aid claim using Donation Station data.

🔸However, donations may still be eligible for inclusion within a GASDS claim, subject to HMRC's rules.

🔶 3. Which report should I use?

🔸For GASDS claims, download the Donation Report from the GWD Customer Portal.

🔸The Donation Report contains the transaction information needed to help identify potentially eligible donations.
