How to look after your Donation Station

This guide will help you keep your Donation Station running smoothly, so you can keep raising more for your cause – every day.

🔶 What’s the Donation Station For?

The Donation Station is a contactless fundraising device. It’s designed to:

🔸 Encourage donations

🔸 Raise awareness for your cause

🔸 Make giving simple and quick

Your device connects to the internet (via Wi-Fi or 4G) and needs to be plugged into mains power. If there’s no internet where you are, some models can be set up to work in Offline Mode.

🔶 How Does It Work for Donors?

The donation journey takes just a few taps:

  1. Choose a donation amount on the touchscreen.

  2. Tap a card or device on the reader to make the payment.

  3. See a thank you message confirming the donation.

Some devices also include optional Gift Aid screens to help you maximise every donation.

You can scan the QR code provided with your device to watch a demo of the donor journey.

🔶 Daily Best Practice

Here are some simple ways to keep your Donation Station in top condition:

✅ Keep it Plugged In

Even if it has a battery, your device works best when it’s plugged into mains power. This avoids interruptions, updates problems, or device errors.

If you’re using it at an event or moving between locations, it can run on battery for up to six hours. Just remember to plug it back in as soon as you can.

✅ Keep it Online

The Donation Station needs a stable internet connection to process donations. Some models are pre-configured for Offline Mode, but in most cases, a loss of Wi-Fi or 4G means donations won’t go through.
