My Donation Station will not turn on!

This article goes through troubleshooting you can go through if you are struggling to turn on your Donation Station

If your Donation Station seems to be off, complete the following troubleshooting steps:

🔶 1. The Donation Station is on, but the screen is black

🔸a. Tap the screen and check for a response. If the screen is on but is black you will see a white circle where you have just tapped

🔸b. Resolve this by exiting the app and relaunching from the desktop.

🔸c. The Donation Station app will then launch successfully

🔶 2. Check you are using the correct plug and cable

🔸If you bought your Donation Station after October 2022, your Donation Station will be using a 12v 2a or 12v 3a plug. 

🔸If the plug has been swapped for something else, your Donation Station Pro will not charge.

🔸If you think you are using the incorrect plug, Contact Support for assistance.

🔶 3. Check the socket

🔸Check the socket your Donation Station is plugged into is working. Use a lamp or phone charger to get an instant response.

🔶 Leave the Donation Station to Charge for 10 minutes then try the following

🔶 4. Try to turn on the Donation Station with the Pokey Tool

🔸Slide the tip of the provided pokey tool all the way into the on/off hole. Gently press, you should feel a light click, and hold until the screen turns on.

🔶 5. Inspect power button for damage

🔸a. Use the key attached to your lanyard to unlock the Donation Station.

🔸b. Press the bezel up 5mm and pull forward to reveal the power button in the top left corner.

🔸c. The button should be visible and raised. If the button is obviously damaged or recessed, then contact support.

🔸d. Press and hold with a finger or thumb for 10 seconds. There should be a light click. After 10s the screen should turn on.

🔶 6. Complete a hard reset

🔸Sometimes the Donation Station can get stuck in sleep or stand-by.

🔸If this fails, press and hold the power button and the up-volume button together for 15 seconds. Wait 10 seconds. Then press the power button for 10 seconds.

🔸This will hard reset and the Donation Station and it should then turn on
